This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test II - Oracle Fusion Financials based in India.
This is an opportunity for an experienced SDET professional to help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of complex enterprise financial applications. You’ll work across functional, automation, integration, regression, database, API, and performance testing. The role focuses heavily on Oracle Fusion Financials and requires a strong understanding of enterprise finance workflows and system integrations. You’ll collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, management, and international teams to translate requirements into effective testing strategies. Your work will directly contribute to reliable releases and stronger quality engineering practices across a complex technology environment. This role is well suited to someone who combines strong testing expertise with automation skills, programming ability, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
Collaborate with managers, architects, analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to define QA strategies, testing plans, estimates, and test cases.
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites covering UI, API, integration, database, regression, and performance testing.
Provide quality assurance across key Oracle Fusion Financials modules, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Intercompany transactions.
Translate high-level business and technical requirements into measurable test plans, scenarios, and traceability requirements.
Identify suitable test cases for automation and develop scalable automated testing solutions using tools such as Selenium, UFT, and Robot Framework.
Conduct integration testing across platforms using batch processing, shell scripts, file transfers, APIs, and web services.
Validate data integrity and system behavior through database testing and complex SQL queries.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including test plans, execution reports, defect logs, traceability matrices, coverage metrics, and test summaries.
Identify defects, analyze root causes, track issues through resolution, and collaborate with development teams to improve application quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, testing standards, and release practices.
Work effectively with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams to support reliable enterprise application releases.
5+ years of relevant QA/SDET experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or another related technical discipline.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA lifecycle, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials, particularly General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), and Intercompany transactions.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated testing using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, UFT, or Robot Framework.
Experience with application lifecycle and test management tools such as JIRA, Quality Center, or MTM.
Programming experience in Java, Python, or C#, with the ability to develop and maintain effective test automation solutions.
Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write and analyze complex queries for database validation and testing.
Experience performing integration testing across APIs, web services, file transfers, batch processes, and other enterprise integrations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex defects and determine appropriate testing approaches.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to software quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively with international, distributed teams in a fast-paced enterprise technology environment.
