Jobgether is an AI-powered job platform focused on remote and flexible work. It matches candidates with relevant roles using skills and preference-based algorithms, and also offers career coaching and job-search guidance.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Architect, Observe based in the United States.

This is a senior, customer-facing architecture role focused on helping enterprise organizations build scalable, production-ready observability environments.

You’ll lead technical discovery, design end-to-end telemetry architectures, and establish the technical foundation for complex implementations.

The role combines deep expertise in observability, OpenTelemetry, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes with strong architectural judgment.

You’ll work closely with Implementation Engineers, customers, and senior technical stakeholders from discovery through go-live and beyond.

You’ll also shape migration strategies, develop reusable reference architectures, and establish standards that improve implementation quality across the broader organization.

As a technical authority, you’ll mentor engineers, solve novel customer challenges, and turn field learnings into scalable practices and product feedback.

This is an opportunity to operate at significant technical depth while serving as a force multiplier across an enterprise post-sales organization.

Accountabilities

    • Lead technical discovery for enterprise engagements, assessing existing telemetry, infrastructure, data volumes, tooling, operational requirements, and architectural constraints.
    • Design scalable, end-to-end observability architectures covering telemetry ingestion, pipeline topology, data modeling, enrichment, normalization, alerting, and long-term retention.
    • Define implementation approaches and architecture blueprints that Implementation Engineering teams can execute confidently.
    • Validate configurations, pipelines, data models, and architectural decisions against production-scale requirements before implementation begins.
    • Advise customers on OpenTelemetry adoption, including instrumentation strategies, collector configuration, exporters, and multi-signal pipeline design.
    • Participate throughout enterprise engagements, partnering with Implementation Engineers from kickoff through technical handoff and remaining available for architectural decisions during execution.
    • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including reference architectures, architecture diagrams, design decision records, implementation plans, configuration standards, and runbooks.
    • Conduct go-live architecture reviews to ensure implemented solutions align with the intended design and are ready for production use.
    • Design target architectures and phased migration strategies for customers transitioning from platforms such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
    • Identify architectural gaps, data-quality risks, technical debt, and scalability concerns, designing clean and sustainable solutions where appropriate.
    • Partner with implementation leadership to establish internal reference architectures, standards, documentation, and enablement materials.
    • Build and maintain realistic, production-grade demonstration environments that help technical and field teams showcase effective observability deployments.
    • Capture reusable patterns from customer engagements and translate them into assets, standards, and practices that can be adopted across the Implementation Engineering organization.
    • Serve as the technical authority for complex or novel customer scenarios and provide architectural guidance without taking ownership away from the engineers executing the work.
    • Mentor and elevate Implementation Engineers through technical guidance, architectural reviews, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.
    • Contribute to adjacent technical initiatives where appropriate, including integrations, process redesign, AI-enabled improvements, and related technologies.
    • Bring customer and field insights to Product and Engineering teams to influence platform improvements and roadmap priorities.
    • Drive outcomes against key measures including time-to-first-value, customer satisfaction, delivery performance, escalation resolution, and consumption growth resulting from successful implementations.
    • Requirements

      • 8+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Staff or Principal Engineer, observability engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer, with demonstrated progression from hands-on execution toward architecture-level ownership.
      • Deep expertise in observability platforms and telemetry systems at scale, including architectural tradeoffs across logs, metrics, and traces.
      • Strong hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, including instrumentation strategies, collector configuration, exporters, and multi-signal pipeline design.
      • Proven experience designing or leading migrations from established observability platforms such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
      • Demonstrated ability to assess complex enterprise environments and create architectural solutions that are durable, scalable, practical, and implementable.
      • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments.
      • Experience working with Kubernetes-native observability patterns and modern cloud monitoring technologies is valuable.
      • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the credibility to engage equally well with hands-on engineering teams and senior technical leadership.
      • Excellent technical documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, design decision records, implementation plans, standards, and runbooks.
      • Ability to work effectively across customer-facing, engineering, implementation, product, and professional services functions.
      • Strong architectural judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity, technical tradeoffs, changing requirements, and complex enterprise environments.
      • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction without relying on direct authority.
      • Exposure to AI-assisted observability, AIOps, or AI-enabled technical workflows.
      • Background in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps, with firsthand experience operating production observability environments at scale, is a plus.
      • Experience creating internal standards, reference architectures, enablement content, or technical demonstration environments is a plus.
      • Experience working in or alongside professional services organizations is a plus.
      • Familiarity with the Observe platform is a plus.
      • Benefits

        • Salary: $160,000-$210,000, with location-specific compensation details available through the employer’s careers resources.
        • Remote work: Fully remote position available to U.S.-based employees.
        • Professional impact: Opportunity to shape enterprise observability architectures and influence how large-scale customers adopt modern telemetry platforms.
        • Technical growth: Exposure to advanced observability, OpenTelemetry, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, AI-assisted operations, and complex enterprise migrations.
        • Leadership opportunity: Serve as a technical authority and mentor while helping establish standards and reusable architectural practices across a growing implementation organization.
        • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with customers, Implementation Engineering, Product, Engineering, and senior technical leadership.
        • Innovation-focused environment: Join a fast-growing organization that encourages experimentation, challenges conventional approaches, and emphasizes continuous improvement.
