This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Staff Electrical Engineer - BlueSky based in the United States.

As a Sr. Staff Electrical Engineer, you will help develop advanced electrical systems for next-generation fixed-wing aircraft and mission-critical aerospace platforms. You’ll provide senior technical leadership across computing, sensing, communications, and power systems. The role spans multiple product development cycles and requires close collaboration across electrical, mechanical, software, and logic engineering disciplines. You’ll help translate complex technical challenges into elegant, high-performance hardware solutions that meet demanding reliability and mission requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to products designed to support service members and civilians in real-world operating environments. You’ll have significant ownership over technical outcomes while working alongside a highly collaborative, mission-driven engineering team. This is an opportunity to influence the design and reliability of sophisticated aerospace systems from concept through successful product delivery.

Accountabilities:

    • Provide senior technical leadership in the design and development of electrical systems supporting fixed-wing aircraft products.
    • Lead and contribute to multiple product development cycles spanning electrical engineering, logic, mechanical engineering, and software disciplines.
    • Design and help define high-performance computing, sensing, communication, and power architectures for advanced aerospace applications.
    • Drive electrical engineering activities from early concepts and architecture through detailed design, integration, validation, and product delivery.
    • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure system-level requirements are met.
    • Take extreme ownership of technical outcomes, proactively identifying risks, removing obstacles, and driving projects toward successful completion.

    • Propose and implement innovative technical solutions that improve development outcomes and address complex hardware challenges.
    • Help navigate development tradeoffs and ensure high-quality solutions are delivered within project timelines and mission requirements.
    • Serve as a trusted technical resource and teammate, contributing expertise and maintaining strong engineering standards across the organization.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
      • 8+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer.
      • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and the ability to apply them to complex hardware and aerospace systems.
      • Demonstrated experience contributing to and leading multiple product design cycles involving Electrical Engineering, Logic, Mechanical Engineering, and Software teams.
      • Proven track record of successfully shipping products, navigating development challenges, overcoming obstacles, and delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
      • Demonstrated initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and system reliability.
      • Exceptional ownership and accountability, with a consistent focus on delivering outstanding technical and project outcomes.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
      • High standards of integrity, reliability, professionalism, and teamwork, combined with a respectful and supportive approach to colleagues.
      • Ability to thrive in a mission-driven environment where technical excellence, urgency, and meaningful real-world impact are highly valued.
