Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff RF Electronics Engineer based in United States.

This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on the development and integration of advanced RF subsystems supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense platforms.

You will contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements development and trade studies through integration, testing, and verification.

The role combines RF technical expertise with systems engineering, supplier management, risk analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work across communications and RF technologies spanning VHF through Ka bands, including airborne military applications.

A key part of the position involves evaluating subsystem performance, troubleshooting hardware, and validating requirements through laboratory, ground, and flight testing.

You will interact directly with engineers, program leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes.

This role is based in Melbourne, Florida, with a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off, and requires an active or obtainable Top Secret clearance.

Accountabilities:

    • Support the development, integration, and verification of communications and other RF subsystems and components designed to meet platform mission objectives.
    • Develop, analyze, mature, and implement system requirements, translating customer needs into derived specifications and technical requirements.
    • Conduct detailed technical trade studies and performance analyses to support engineering and program decisions.
    • Perform risk analysis, develop mitigation strategies, and track identified risks through closure.
    • Collaborate closely with engineers, program stakeholders, customers, management, and cross-functional technical teams.
    • Develop and maintain supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, statements of work, and technical evaluation criteria.
    • Provide technical management of strategic suppliers and program partners, including acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration, and test activities.
    • Review supplier development documentation and participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and supplier technical evaluations.
    • Identify, plan, and execute informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in laboratory environments, including hardware troubleshooting and issue resolution.
    • Support aircraft ground and flight testing to validate and verify subsystem requirements and complete requirement sell-off activities.
    • Support technical discussions with customers and maintain regular interaction with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives.
    • Apply systems engineering methods including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation, and interface control documentation.
    • Contribute to the successful integration of RF subsystem performance, requirements, interfaces, and verification activities across the broader platform.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10+ years, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related engineering experience.
      • Strong knowledge of electromagnetics across the RF spectrum, from VHF through Ka bands.
      • Demonstrated ability to design, select, characterize, and analyze RF components to meet mission objectives.
      • Experience designing, integrating, testing, installing, or operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applications is highly relevant.
      • Experience with voice, military, and network waveforms, cryptographic implementations, or RF antenna and component design and performance analysis.
      • Strong understanding of systems engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation, and interface control documentation.
      • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, including the required background investigation or Continuous Evaluation status.
      • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance and any additional program access required for the position.
      • Active DoD Top Secret clearance is preferred.
      • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical decision-making capabilities.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in close, collaborative engineering teams.
      • Demonstrated ability to engage directly with internal and external technical and programmatic stakeholders.
      • Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts, work independently, and operate effectively in a self-directed environment.
      • Experience with Computational Electromagnetics (CEM) antenna analysis, including source/victim or co-site analysis, is preferred.
      • Experience with model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools is advantageous.
      • Experience using MATLAB, Excel, or similar tools for performance analysis is preferred.
      • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
      • Experience with supplier or subcontract management, technical evaluations, documentation, performance-based specifications, statements of work, and supplier design reviews is preferred.
      • Benefits

        • Annual salary range of $152,900-$229,300, with actual compensation determined by factors including responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
        • Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus compensation, depending on the position and individual circumstances.
        • Annual bonus opportunities may recognize individual contributions and overall organizational performance.
        • Health insurance coverage, along with life and disability insurance.
        • Savings plan and other financial benefits.
        • Company-paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
        • Relocation assistance may be available.
        • Full-time, on-site position in Melbourne, Florida with no hybrid or remote work option.
        • 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off.
        • Opportunity to work on advanced RF and communications technologies supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense systems.
        • Approximately 25% travel required.
        • Equal opportunity workplace with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
        • U.S. citizenship is required for positions involving government clearance and certain other restricted roles.
