UI/UX Designer - AI Apps

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UI/UX Designer - AI Apps based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to shape intuitive digital experiences for next-generation AI-powered products.

You will design user journeys that make sophisticated AI capabilities accessible, understandable, and engaging.

The position spans UX research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and design systems.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, AI/ML engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.

Your work will influence how users interact with AI assistants, copilots, conversational interfaces, recommendations, and intelligent workflows.

You will also help establish scalable design patterns that support usability, accessibility, and visual consistency.

Accountabilities

• Design intuitive, modern, and user-centered experiences for AI-powered web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs, behaviors, and expectations.
• Develop user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Design conversational and AI-driven experiences, including chat interfaces, AI assistants, copilots, recommendations, and intelligent workflows.
• Create effective interaction patterns for AI features such as prompting, generated responses, feedback, regeneration, editing, citations, confidence indicators, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Translate complex AI and machine learning capabilities into simple, accessible, and understandable user experiences.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented accurately.
• Build and maintain design systems, reusable components, UI patterns, and design guidelines.
• Conduct usability testing and continuously iterate designs using user feedback, behavioral insights, and product analytics.
• Ensure experiences meet responsive design, mobile-first, accessibility, usability, and visual consistency standards.
• Provide developers with detailed design specifications, assets, interaction requirements, and implementation guidance.
• Monitor emerging trends in AI UX, generative AI interfaces, conversational design, and human-AI interaction to inform future product experiences.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or a closely related digital design discipline.
• Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered applications, chatbots, copilots, generative AI products, or conversational interfaces.
• Hands-on proficiency with Figma and modern UI/UX design tools.
• Strong understanding of UX research, user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
• Proven experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Practical understanding of LLM and generative AI user experiences, including prompt-based interactions and AI-generated content.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design and mobile-first design principles.
• Experience creating or working with design systems, component libraries, reusable UI patterns, and design guidelines.
• Good understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG principles.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, intuitive experiences.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, AI/ML specialists, and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a user-centered mindset.
• Ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints when making design decisions.
