Virtual Portuguese Teacher (Spanish Language Support)

This role offers an opportunity to support learners around the world through engaging, personalized virtual Portuguese instruction.

You will act as both an educator and mentor, helping students build confidence and achieve meaningful language-learning goals.

The position combines live teaching with individualized learning plans, written feedback, and ongoing progress monitoring.

You will work with learners across different backgrounds and proficiency levels in both one-to-one and group settings.

Your ability to create dynamic, effective sessions will contribute directly to a positive and motivating learning experience.

You will also collaborate with internal teams while working within a technology-enabled, globally distributed education environment.

Accountabilities

• Deliver dynamic, engaging, and effective Portuguese language sessions to learners from different countries and backgrounds.
• Facilitate both one-to-one and group virtual classes according to learner needs and program requirements.
• Design personalized learning programs that align with individual objectives, proficiency levels, and development goals.
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback following each learning session.
• Monitor learner progress through the virtual learning platform and provide guidance to help students achieve their language goals.
• Adapt teaching methods, materials, and activities to maintain engagement and support different learning styles.
• Act as a motivator and personal mentor throughout the learner's virtual language-learning journey.
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with internal teams regarding learner progress, scheduling, and other training-related matters.
• Contribute to a collaborative international teaching community and continuously develop online teaching practices.

Requirements

• C2-level or proficient Portuguese language ability.
• B1-level or higher proficiency in Spanish is required to support learners effectively.
• Advanced English proficiency is preferred for communication within the broader international environment.
• At least two years of experience teaching a foreign language.
• A recognized foreign language teaching certificate, such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and the ability to adapt instruction to different learner needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
• Comfortable delivering both individual and group sessions in a virtual environment.
• Reliable and fast internet connection suitable for high-quality online teaching.
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, and headset.
• Strong digital skills and confidence using online learning platforms and virtual teaching tools.
• A learner-focused, motivating, adaptable, and professional approach to teaching.
