Zuora Billing Technical Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Zuora Billing Technical Consultant based in India.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Zuora specialist to support enterprise billing transformation initiatives across implementation, configuration, integration, and production support. You’ll work at the intersection of business requirements and technical delivery, translating complex needs into scalable billing solutions. The role offers hands-on exposure to Zuora Billing, REST APIs, custom workflows, data models, and Quote-to-Cash processes. You’ll collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions and resolve challenging production issues. Your expertise will contribute directly to efficient subscription management, invoicing, payments, and connected CRM ecosystems. This is a full-time remote role offering the opportunity to work with diverse teams and solve complex billing challenges from anywhere in India.

Accountabilities:

• Support the implementation, configuration, customization, and ongoing enhancement of Zuora Billing solutions.
• Translate business and functional requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions within the billing environment.
• Develop, configure, and support integrations between Zuora and CRM platforms, payment gateways, and other enterprise systems.
• Design and troubleshoot integrations using Zuora REST APIs and related technologies.
• Work with Zuora custom workflows and the underlying data and object model to support business processes.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely and sustainable technical solutions.
• Support Quote-to-Cash processes, including subscription lifecycle management, invoicing, billing, and payments.
• Collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders throughout implementation and support activities.
• Participate in enhancements and continuous improvements to billing processes, integrations, and system functionality.
• Ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, operational requirements, and expected system performance.
• Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 6-10+ years of hands-on experience working with Zuora Billing in implementation, configuration, integration, or production support environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of Zuora REST APIs, custom workflows, SOQL/SQL, and the Zuora data and object model.
• Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes, including subscription lifecycle management, invoicing, billing, and payments.
• Proven experience integrating Zuora with CRM platforms, payment gateways, and other enterprise applications.
• Experience translating business requirements into practical and technically sound billing solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex production issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Experience working across both functional and technical aspects of billing implementations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration concepts and data flows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across distributed teams.
• Ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.
