It brings structure to KPIs, ownership to reporting, and confidence to decision-making.\nYour Role\nAs our Payments Data Analyst, you will own payments reporting and KPI governance end-to-end in Power BI. The role reports to the Head of BI, with Payments and high-level management as key stakeholders.\nThis is an experienced individual contributor role for someone who thrives on precision, consistency, and analytical depth. You will ensure our payment performance data is accurate, structured, and decision-ready. You will translate complex operational and business questions into robust SQL logic and clear, actionable dashboards.\nYour work will make trends visible, anomalies understandable, and risks measurable - enabling the company to act with confidence.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOwn and continuously improve end-to-end payments dashboards in Power BI\nMaintain and optimize the payments BI infrastructure and data organization\nEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across all payment KPIs\nStandardize KPI definitions across Product, Operations, Finance, and Risk\nTranslate business questions into structured SQL queries and meaningful reporting\nLead ad-hoc investigations (authorization drops, decline spikes, PSP comparisons, recovery performance)\nProactively identify anomalies, performance trends, and emerging risks\nImprove documentation and clarity of payment data models\nPartner cross-functionally to ensure reporting aligns with operational reality\nCollaborate closely with the BI team for peer review and quality assurance before findings and reports reach stakeholders\n What You'll Need5+ years of experience in Data Analytics (payments or fintech strongly preferred)\nAdvanced Power BI expertise (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)\nStrong SQL skills, with confidence querying and validating complex tables in SQL Server\nFamiliarity with Azure and Microsoft Fabric is a plus\nExperience working with payment data (PSPs, recurring flows, refunds, chargebacks)\nDeep familiarity with core payment KPIs, including:Authorization rate (gross vs. net)\nDecline reason analysis\nRetry performance\nInvoluntary churn & recovery\nFraud and chargeback ratios\n\nA strong mindset for data structure, governance, and documentation\nAbility to explain complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders\nRigorous self-review habits and willingness to validate findings with colleagues before sharing them onward\nDirect experience with PSPs or acquirers (e.g.Adyen, Checkout)\nExperience with payment orchestration platforms (e.g.Spreedly)\nExperience in subscription or recurring billing environments\nBasic Python skills for analysis or
