Business Developer - Pharmaceuticals

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead strategic business initiatives in pharmaceuticals, including in-licensing, alliances, and partnerships. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, negotiating deals, and managing cross-functional collaborations to ensure successful execution of business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development
Spearhead identification, evaluation, and prioritization of in-licensing, co-development, and partnership opportunities aligned with business goals and market dynamics.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build and nurture relationships with pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and government bodies to secure meaningful partnerships.
- Market Analysis & Intelligence
Conduct comprehensive analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making.
- Deal Negotiation & Execution
Lead negotiations for licensing, co-development, and alliance agreements. Manage due diligence including financial analysis, technical evaluation, and risk mitigation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner effectively with R&D, regulatory affairs, legal, manufacturing, and commercial teams to evaluate feasibility and ensure seamless execution of business deals.
- Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and deploy business development strategies aimed at achieving revenue and market penetration targets across domestic and export segments.
- Leadership & Mentorship
Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Representation & Networking
Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and forums to amplify visibility and build networks.
- Monitoring & Adaptive Strategy
Continuously track market dynamics, competitor movements, and regulatory shifts to proactively adjust strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Experience
Minimum of 8+ years in pharmaceutical business development, alliance management, or portfolio management, with a demonstrated track record of deal-making and strategic execution.
