Supermarket Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket Supervisor to join our team in Mozambique, Mozambique. As a Supermarket Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-organized and efficient store environment.

• Lead and manage a team of supermarket staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure high standards of customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly
• Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and rotation
• Manage cash handling procedures and prepare financial reports
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety standards
• Implement and monitor loss prevention strategies
• Collaborate with department managers to optimize store layout and product placement
• Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a professional manner
• Assist in developing and implementing promotional activities and sales strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

• Bachelor Degree or High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in retail management or supervisory role, preferably in grocery or supermarket operations
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling procedures
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Computer literacy, including experience with POS systems and inventory software
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred
• Knowledge of retail operations, best practices, and food safety regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is highly desirable
