Jobs for Humanity is a New York based non-profit recruiting organisation founded in 2020 that connects historically underrepresented candidates with employers committed to inclusive hiring. It works with refugees, people with disabilities, neurodivergent candidates, formerly incarcerated people, returning parents and older workers, running job boards, hiring events and coaching alongside advisory work that helps companies rewrite job descriptions and interview processes. The organisation aggregates and reposts a very large number of partner vacancies, which is why it appears as the poster of record on listings that belong to its client employers.

A premier Saudi Arabian entertainment and hospitality company owned by the PIF. Was founded in 1997 as the nation’s first athlete representation agency, has now evolved into a global developer of iconic destinations and spectacular live experiences.

The Electrical Team Leader for the fabrication and production workshop is responsible for the safe, code-compliant, and on-schedule delivery of all electrical works across SELA's event, exhibition, and show productions - from workshop pre-build through final on-site power-up and strike. He/she will coordinate with the Installation, Rigging, AV, and Design teams to ensure that power distribution, show lighting circuits, control cabling, and electrical fit-outs are built, tested, transported, and installed to the highest safety and quality standards, on time and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical proficiency in electrical systems for live events, combined with the ability to lead and develop a site-based electrical crew.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Supervision

  • Workflow Management: Plan and schedule electrical works for each project, aligning with the overall production and installation timeline.
  • Pre-fabrication & Testing: Ensure all power distribution boards, cable looms, control panels, and lighting/electrical assemblies are built, tested (PAT/continuity/load testing), and signed off in the workshop before dispatch to venue.
  • Packing & Loading: Supervise the safe packing, labelling, and loading of cables, distros, fixtures, and electrical equipment to prevent damage or loss in transit.
  • Resource Management: Monitor manpower, electrical materials, consumables, and tools, and requisition or secure them as required to avoid site delays.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all electrical installations, temporary power distribution, and lighting/AV power circuits to ensure compliance with design specifications, SASO/Saudi Electrical Code requirements, and client quality standards.

2. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Risk Management: Develop and enforce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for temporary power, generator hook-ups, and on-site electrical installations.
  • Safety Enforcement: Ensure all team members comply with Health & Safety policies, including LOTO (lock-out/tag-out) procedures, RCD/earthing protection, safe use of PPE, and safe handling of power tools and test equipment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all temporary electrical installations meet Saudi Electrical Code, civil defense, and venue-specific electrical safety requirements for public events.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and site environment (5S standards), with cabling and distribution runs managed to eliminate trip and fire hazards.

3. Team Leadership & Communication

  • On-site Leadership: Lead daily site electrical operations and allocate tasks to electricians and technicians, ensuring efficient use of manpower to meet load-in and show-ready deadlines.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians on power distribution, cable management, lighting circuits, and tool/equipment safety.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct daily toolbox talks and team briefings, monitor crew performance, and provide feedback to improve efficiency and reduce rework or snags.
  • Project Liaison: Liaise with production managers, lighting/AV designers, riggers, and site management to provide progress updates, resolve technical bottlenecks, and ensure a seamless power-up for every show or activation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in electrical works for live events, exhibitions, theatrical/scenic production, themed entertainment, or a similar fast-paced workshop and site environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of temporary power distribution, generators, three-phase systems, show lighting circuits, cable management, and low-voltage control systems.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, power plans, CAD drawings, and design specifications.
  • Safety Certifications: Relevant electrical and H&S qualifications (e.g., licensed electrician certification, IOSH/NEBOSH, or equivalent local certification recognized in Saudi Arabia).
  • Language & Mobility: Arabic and/or English proficiency preferred; willingness to travel to venues across the Kingdom and internationally as project needs require.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, ability to work under pressure against tight show deadlines, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication with cross-functional production teams.

Typical Working Conditions

  • Environment: Must be able to work in a workshop environment, which may include loud noise, dust, and heat, with some on-site installation work.
  • Hours: May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet event deadlines.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines and to work on site, which may include lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions.
