design reviews for complex, key technical initiatives.\nInfluence standards around APIs, data models, frontend architecture, and tooling.\n\nQuality, Reliability and Scale: \nEnsure systems are resilient, observable, and production-ready.\nDrive best practices around testing, monitoring, and incident prevention.\nChampion simplicity and long-term maintainability.\n\nMentorship and Engineering Excellence: \nMentor senior and staff-level engineers.\nRaise the engineering bar through reviews, guidance, and shared learnings.\nContribute to defining what great engineering looks like at Jodo.\n\nCollaboration and Influence: \nPartner closely with product, design, DevOps, and leadership teams.\nCommunicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nInfluence without authority through trust, clarity, and technical depth.\n\nRequirements: \n5-7 years of experience in software engineering.\nProven experience designing and scaling complex systems.\nStrong track record as a senior individual contributor.\nStrong backend expertise (Python preferred, Go, Node.js, or similar).\nStrong frontend expertise with modern frameworks (React preferred).\nDeep understanding of APIs, data flows, and distributed systems.\nExperience designing systems for high availability and performance.\nStrong understanding of trade-offs in distributed systems.\nExperience handling large codebases and complex domains.\nStrong experience with testing strategies, CI/CD, and production operations.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.\nSystems thinker with a bias for clarity and simplicity.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nComfortable operating in ambiguity and driving alignment.\nSkills\nJavaScript, Architecture, Golang,
