This role prepares technical drawings and assembly documentation, coordinates production activities with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, and provides technical support to ensure the successful fabrication, assembly, and delivery of engineered pump set solutions.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nReview Pump Set Forms (PSF), sales orders, production orders, and customer specifications to confirm project requirements.\nDesign pump sets, base assemblies, and related systems using CAD and 3D modelling software.\nPrepare detailed assembly, fabrication, and general arrangement drawings for manufacturing, suppliers, and customer approval.\nPerform engineering calculations to support design requirements.\nCoordinate engineering and production activities with Sales, Manufacturing, Scheduling, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers.\nMaintain project schedules, delivery timelines, engineering records, drawings, and technical documentation.\nProvide technical support and assembly guidance to internal and external stakeholders.\nTrack and resolve design, production, and work-order issues to support on-time project completion.\nRequest and evaluate supplier quotations and coordinate requirements for fabricated bases, materials, and related components.\nCreate production orders and release fabrication and assembly drawings to Manufacturing and vendors.\nSupport continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve product designs, manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, materials, cost effectiveness, and operational efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned and comply with Company policies and Health & Safety requirements.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEssential:\nMinimum College Diploma in an Engineering field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience designing machinery skids or mechanical assemblies.\nProficiency with design software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.\nAdvanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing requirements.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, spatial reasoning, and technical design skills.\nExcellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.\nDesirable:\nUniversity degree in an Engineering field.\nC.E.T. designation in Mechanical Engineering Technology.\nExperience designing process skids.\nExperience with Prophet 21 ERP software.\nExperience working with pump sets, base assemblies, fabrication, manufacturing, or similar engineered systems.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nFast-paced environment in a dynamic competitive industry \nDaily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetings \nExposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions \nBenefits\nAt John Brooks Company, our People First value is at the heart of everything we do.
