RIGHT NOW.\n John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans. \n\n Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo, IA\nFunction: Product Engineering (CA)\nTitle: Engineer, Drivetrain - 123397\nOnsite/Remote: Onsite Position\n\nYour Responsibilities\nAs aDesign Engineer for the Tracks Module Group located in Waterloo, IA or Silvis, IL you will:\nUpdate models, drawings and assemblies per CI projects\nCoordinate with the Product Verification and Validation teams to develop test plans for CI projects\nSupport quality issues related to track warranty\nGather, analyze and make decisions based upon available information and seek out additional information when necessary to ensure design changes are successfully implemented\nProvide technical mentoring to team members \nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\nDesign engineering experience with knowledge of drivetrain components such as structural castings, bearings, gears, shafts, seals, or similar type of components\nProficiency with Creo or other 3D CAD modeling software\nStrong understanding of engineering principles and system modeling\nDemonstrated ability to work on a team with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nWhat Makes You Stand Out\n2 or more years of Drivetrain Design experience in Agriculture, Construction or Forestry vehicles\nKnowledge and understanding of Romax and FEA results or similar engineering tools\nExperience with Product Verification and Validation\nExperience with manufacturing or quality control \nEducation\nIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering.
