You will analyze quality data, lead problem-solving activities, and support implementation of corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction and factory quality performance.In addition, you will:\nLead investigations involving manufacturing, supplier, warranty, and customer quality concerns.\nAnalyze factory and product quality data to identify trends, establish priorities, and drive corrective actions.\nFacilitate root cause investigations and containment activities for quality issues impacting production.\nSupport Quality Improvement Teams focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.\nPerform and support process audits, product audits, JDV14.1 & JDV20.1 audits, layered audits, and non-conforming material reviews.\nDevelop, maintain, and distribute quality metrics, dashboards, and reports used by manufacturing and engineering leadership.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to improve product and process capability.\nSupport implementation of engineering changes, running changes, and corrective action plans.\nParticipate in PFMEA, Control Plan, DPAR, EPDP, and production readiness activities.\nServe as a liaison between Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Supply Management, Supplier Quality, Product Support, and Factory Operations.\nSupport ISO 9001 quality system requirements and internal audit activities.\nLead and facilitate cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement and problem resolution. \nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\nExperience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nExperience analyzing data and communicating findings to a broad audience.\nExperience utilizing manufacturing systems such as SAP, SharePoint, MES, Power BI, or equivalent business systems.\nKnowledge of quality tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nExperience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, fabrication, welding, or production systems.\nAbility to work independently while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline. \nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nPrevious experience in Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Current Product Engineering, or Product Support.\nExperience with Quality Planning tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).\nExperience leading root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.\nKnowledge of John Deere quality systems and processes.\nExperience working within a union manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of agricultural equipment manufacturing, welding, fabrication, paint, or assembly operations.\nExperience supporting ISO 9001 quality management systems and audit activities.\nExperience utilizing Power BI, SQL, or other quality data analysis tools.\nKnowledge of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).\nExperience working directly with operations teams to improve manufacturing quality performance.\nGMAW / Laser welding knowledge and defect identification.\nExperience with Sheetmetal operations and steel codes.\nExperience with Paint operations and knowledge of JDHZ 610 standards. \nEducation\nIdeally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. \nWhat You'll Get\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
