RIGHT NOW.\nJohn Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans. \nPrimary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Moline\nFunction: Factory Engineering (CA)\nTitle: Part-Time Student - Paint Engineer - Moline, IL - 125227\nOnsite/Remote: Onsite Position\nNote: Relocation assistance is not provided.\nThe Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a Part-Time Student - Paint Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will:\nSupport cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.\nSupport Paint Lab with testing and new method development.\nWorks with Deere software to perform engineering functions.\nProvides technical and quality support for basic trouble shooting of paint operations.\nDevelops plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing.\nCreate operator method sheets for standard work\nThis position would be a mixture of John Deere paint lab innovation projects and ongoing lab support. Working with the Enterprise Facilities Services, Paint Manufacturing Services Team to support project coordination and communication throughout the company. Then taking on roles at the local John Deere Quad Cities factories to support paint manufacturing engineering and potentially facilities engineering projects and quality initiates.\nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\nIdeally, you will be pursuing a degree in engineering or a materials-related field; others may apply\nMust be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university or a recent graduate\nGraduation date of Spring 2028 or later\nAt least 1 semester of engineering classes completed.\nCumulative GPA of 2.8 or above\nAvailable to work during the academic year. 16 to 20 hours\nAvailable to work during the summer semester. Up to 40 hours\nMust be able to commute to the Moline Tech Center or other local John Deere unit in Quad Cities as needed.
