RIGHT NOW.\n John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans. \n\n Primary Location: United States (US) - California - Torrance\nFunction: Product Engineering (CA)\nTitle: Senior Electronic Design Engineer - 125490\nOnsite/Remote: Onsite Position\n\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a Senior Electronic Design Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions located in Torrance, CA, Urbandale, IA or Fargo ND, you will:\nCreate and validate schematics and PCB layouts for controllers, sensors, and perception modules used in robotics and mobility systems.\nPerform electronic design analysis to determine circuit topology, component selection, and expected performance in harsh agricultural and construction environments.\nEnsure designs comply with John Deere standards for reliability, EMI/EMC performance, and environmental robustness.\nWork with mechanical design, embedded software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electronics into complete products.\nParticipate in design reviews and collaborate with Advanced Engineering, PV&V, and Precision Tech Engineering Services on testing and manufacturability activities.\nDevelop and execute test plans for prototype and production-intent hardware.\nTroubleshoot signal integrity, thermal, and power distribution issues during development and integration.\nDocument designs for production release.\nParticipate in cost reduction and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.\nSupport lifecycle management activities such as obsolescence planning and end-of-life (EOL) transitions.\nSupport integration of new technologies into autonomous products.\nParticipate in innovation and advanced robotics/mobility projects. \nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\n3 or more years of experience applying technical skill and knowledge in digital electronic technology: circuit design, analysis, test & evaluation.\nDeep and broad understanding of high-speed digital electronics technology and embedded hardware design.\nExperience comparing microprocessor architectures, designing with and configuring memory and I/O interfaces, high-speed digital design and layout, and EMI mitigation.\nAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%. \nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nKnowledge of GNSS receiver technology.\nKnowledge and understanding of switching regulator design and Low-frequency analog design.\nProficiency with time/frequency-domain simulation tools.\nExperience in designing and supporting high production volume products.\nKnowledge of the Enterprise Product Development Processes (EPDP). \nEducation\nIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience \nWhat You'll Get\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
