We empower our people to think differently, contribute ideas and make a meaningful impact for our customers and communities.\nJob Grade: 07\nHiring Manager: William Plunkett\nThe Opportunity\nWe're looking for a Senior Machine Support Specialist to Join our ANZ Aftermarket & Customer Support team to investigate equipment enquiries and help deliver practical technical solutions.\nYou may be an experienced technician with John Deere, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or have heavy-equipment exposure. Alternatively, you could be an engineering student or recent graduate with strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in equipment technology.\nWhat matters most is your ability to understand how equipment works, investigate problems logically and communicate useful technical information.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic machine issues with dealers and factory partners.\nInvestigate technical problems, identify root causes and document clear solutions in the relevant support databases.\nConnect issues with the right teams across design engineering, product support, technical authoring and manufacturing to drive resolution.\nAct as the unit DTAC lead, providing technical guidance and workflow direction to other Machine Support Specialists.\nCollect field failure data when required and translate evidence into useful input for factory problem-solving and product improvement.\nCoach dealers in the effective use of Service Center and CCMS to strengthen technical self-sufficiency.\nDeliver practical technical training to dealer and internal teams.\nWhat Will Make You Successful\nYou'll bring practical curiosity, sound problem-solving skills and the confidence to work through technical challenges.\nYou'll bring:\nTechnician experience with agricultural, construction or heavy equipment, or current/recent engineering studies.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery.\nThe ability to diagnose problems logically and interpret technical information.\nClear written and verbal communication.\nA collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.\nA willingness to learn John Deere products, systems and processes.\nDirect John Deere product experience would help you get up to speed quickly, but candidates with relevant transferable technical capability are encouraged to apply.\nWhat Will You Learn?\nYou'll develop practical knowledge of John Deere equipment, product-support processes and technical systems while working alongside experienced technical specialists.\nYou do not need to know every John Deere system on day one.
