RIGHT NOW.\n John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans. \n\n Primary Location: United States (US) - Indiana - Hebron\nFunction: Factory Engineering (CA)\nTitle: Warehouse Automation Engineer - 125208\nOnsite/Remote: Onsite Position\n\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a Warehouse Automation Engineer for John Deere at the newly constructed A&CS Hebron Distribution Center located in Hebron, IN, you will:\nProvides input into overall direction, development and integration of warehouse control systems, warehouse automation (AS/RS), and automated guided vehicles\nServes as Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems in the areas of: Integration, Warehouse Control Systems, Material Handling Equipment, AS/RS, and Automated-Guided Vehicle integration to Business Systems (SAP-EWM)\nFacilitate and manage capital projects from inception through execution, including functional specifications, scope development, RFQs, design coordination, and successful delivery against timeline, cost, and performance objectives\nLead system integration, commissioning, and startup activities including I/O checkout, networking, FAT/SAT, and final system validation\nWork with cross-functional warehousing teams to improve and support current and future robotics and automation initiatives to increase reliability, throughput, and quality\nProvide troubleshooting and technical support for automation systems, including controls, networking, and process equipment, both on-site and remotely\nSupport the daily needs of maintaining warehouse performance by prioritizing and providing engineering support to warehouse maintenance and operations as needed\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation including electrical drawings, control narratives, specifications, SOPs, and project documentation to assist maintenance and operations\nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\nWhat Skills You Need\nExperience supporting automation engineering projects in a factory, warehouse, or industrial environment\n3+ years of experience working with various types of warehouse automation\n3+ years of experience with AMRs/AGVs or ASRS or material handling equipment\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with experience bringing cross functional teams (including shop floor employees) together to solve business problems\nAbility to travel up to 25% or more based on business needs for the first 6 months\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nExperience with automated packaging equipment\nExperience with SAP EWM or other warehouse management or warehouse control systems\nDemonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that drive measurable gains in safety, quality, productivity, or storage density\nSolid understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment processes, and industry terminology\nExperience managing vendors, including scope alignment, performance oversight, schedule coordination, deliverable tracking, and issue resolution\nProject management experience in a factory, warehouse, or industrial setting\nExperience building and presenting business cases to support project approvals or capital investments\nBackground in automation, industrial equipment, or facility infrastructure\nEducation\nIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical), Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline or equivalent related work experience\nWhat You'll Get\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
