In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.\nThe Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.\nThe T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels - the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.\nThe Role:\nTo advance technical knowledge and experience in geotechnical and construction engineering support. You will play a key role in managing geotechnical and civil engineering risks and developing and assist in creating design solutions for excavations, earth retaining structures, foundation systems and ground improvement projects.\nKey Reponsabilities:\nReporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, the role involves the following key accountabilities:\nUphold the T2D Project Values\nAssist in conducting site investigations, data collection, mapping and geotechnical testing\nActively undertake daily observations for geotechnical risks, during the construction of Key Structures and report these risks if observed.\nPrepare basic calculations, drawings, and technical reports under supervision.\nUndertake instrument and monitoring assessments of ground movements with the progression of construction.\nReview and assess temporary and permanent works design drawings and reports of a specific structure .\nReport, promote and ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures.\nParticipate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing, and professional development activities.\nFrom time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as reasonably directed and within your skills, competencies, and capabilities.\nContribute to developing design geotechnical models, stability analyses, and material characterisations.\nAbout You:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineeringm Geotechnical Engineering, or Science Geology.\nProgression of professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered status with Engineers Australia).\nCompetency in getoechnical design software, soil/rock mechanics, or earthwork, soil and rock laboratory testing methods and analysis.\nWe Offer:\nYour success is our success, and as an Alliance, we are committed to being an employer of choice in Adelaide.
