Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.\nBe part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.\nAbout the role:\nWe are looking for an experienced Junior Contract Administrator to join our team on the Hobson Bay Main Yarra Crossing Duplication Project based in Spotswood, VIC.\nResponsibilities of the role include:\nConduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisation’s conditions relating to contracts for prospective projects\nMaintain a register of subcontractors\nEnsure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any costs issues immediately upon identification\nManage subcontractors to ensure that Code compliance is maintained at all times\nCheck compliance and prepare reporting on commercial performance of the contract\nProcess and recommend progress claims for work completed and refer disputed claims by subcontractors to the relevant manager for decision \nUndertake general business administration\nProvide accurate information and customer service to clients, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while supporting team members and upholding confidentiality in all duties.\nTo be successful in this key role, you must have:\nDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent \nPost graduate qualifications e.g. graduate certificate, graduate diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law or other associated disciplines\nRelevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines \nIntermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM)\nExperience working as a Junior Contracts Administrator in the construction and engineering industry\nExperience in negotiating with sub-contractors\nAs part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives\nYour success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
