This major rail infrastructure program is designed to increase capacity, improve reliability and support the region’s long-term growth.\nThis complex, multi disciplinary project includes significant signalling, rail systems and interface works delivered in a live rail environment, requiring close collaboration with Queensland Rail, designers, certifiers and delivery partners.\nBased at Beerburrum project site, this project offers exposure to a large-scale rail upgrade and the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact transport solution while developing your career within a Tier 1 environment\nAbout the Role:\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Wiring Supervisor (OHW) to join the B2N team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the safe and efficient delivery of overhead wiring construction,installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities across a major rail infrastructure project.\nWorking closely with engineers, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, you will lead field delivery teams to ensure all OHW works are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements and industry best practice. You will play a critical role in coordinating site activities, managing access and possession requirements, and driving high-quality outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive salary and benefits, including salary continuance and salary sacrifice options\n10% B2N Project allowance on top of salary package\nFlexible work arrangements and generous leave, including 18 weeks paid parental leave\nCareer development through technical, leadership and emerging talent programs\nOpportunities to work on some of Australia's most iconic projects\nA diverse and inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong\nWellbeing support and benefits designed to help you thrive\nKey Responsibilities:\n Supervise and coordinate the installation, modification, maintenance, and commissioning of Overhead Wiring (OHW) systems. \nLead frontline crews and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.\nPlan and manage daily work activities, including labour, plant, materials, and rail access requirements.\nEnsure compliance with relevant rail standards, electrical safety requirements, work procedures, and quality specifications.\nCoordinate rail possessions, isolations, permit requirements, and stakeholder interfaces to support construction activities.\nMonitor progress, productivity, and quality of works, proactively identifying and resolving site issues and risks.\nMaintain a strong safety culture through leadership, toolbox talks, inspections, and adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements\nRequirements for the role:\nExperience supervising OHW construction and maintenance within a rail environment.\nStrong knowledge of Overhead Wiring systems, standards, and rail infrastructure.\nDemonstrated ability to lead crews and subcontractors in high-risk operational environments.\nSolid understanding of rail possessions, isolations, permits, and safe working requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.\nExcellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.\nRelevant rail competencies and safety qualifications, with a strong commitment to Zero Harm.\nAt John Holland, our purpose is simple: we transform lives with everything we do.\nWe know infrastructure is about people - our customers, our employees and the communities we work in every day.
