Working on a FIFO 2:1 roster from Perth, you will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure and rail projects by providing onsite engineering expertise, technical support and project coordination to ensure safe, efficient and successful project outcomes.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to further develop their career while working on major projects that help shape Australia's future. Based on project needs, experience within rail construction, civil infrastructure, signalling and communications will be highly regarded.\nWhat you will do\nCoordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and project requirements.\nProvide technical support and engineering advice to project teams and subcontractors.\nAssist with project planning, programming and forecasting activities.\nMonitor and report on construction progress, compliance, project performance and risk management activities.\nUndertake cost control, estimating and budget monitoring to support project delivery objectives.\nVerify subcontractor claims, variations and progress against contractual requirements.\nMaintain project documentation, drawing registers and records management systems.\nConduct safety, environmental and quality assessments and implement effective controls.\nSupport the preparation of project methodologies, work packs, reports and tender documentation.\nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and client representatives to achieve successful project outcomes.\nWhat we are looking for\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Science or a related discipline.\nMinimum 3-5 years' experience in a Site Engineer or Project Engineer role within construction, infrastructure, rail or civil projects.\nDemonstrated experience coordinating construction activities and managing project delivery requirements.\nStrong understanding of engineering standards, specifications, safety and quality management systems.\nExperience in planning, progress reporting, forecasting and cost control.\nAbility to identify and manage project risks and implement practical solutions.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Primavera P6.\nExperience within rail construction, rail signalling and communications projects will be highly regarded.\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary and benefits, including salary continuance and salary sacrifice options\nFlexible work arrangements and generous leave, including 18 weeks paid parental leave\nCareer development through technical, leadership and emerging talent programs\nOpportunities to work on some of Australia's most iconic projects\nA diverse and inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong\nWellbeing support and benefits designed to help you thrive\nAt John Holland, our purpose is simple: we transform lives with everything we do.\nWe know infrastructure is about people - our customers, our employees and the communities we work in every day.
