Your role will be pivotal in supporting the broader construction teams with planning works, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality, OHS and environment deliverables are met, and construction progress reporting.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure compliance of the works with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards and JHG SQE Risk Management process\nConduct and administer overall job planning and programming including short range and intermediate activities for construction projects for approval by the Project Manager\nInput information and undertake minor design on site and monitor and recommend changes to design details to increase the ease of construction\nExercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.\nDemonstrate financial management skills including demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs and meeting budgets\nVerify subcontractors’ claims and variations\nUndertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Site Manager ­\nMaintain drawing register controls for the project ­ Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects ­\nDemonstrate skills in reporting on project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance ­\nUndertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes\nWhat You will Need\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.\nPostgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential.\nExperience in delivering Australian civil projects\nIdeally, previous experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 Contractor\nSkills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite etc. are essential. Experience with Aconex will be advantageous.\nAbout The Project\nThe Project\nJohn Holland has recently been awarded the Illabo to Stockinbingal section of Inland Rail in NSW. The Illabo to Stockinbingal section is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai.
