Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer daily load counter. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, while fostering a culture of working safely.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfill operational and customer demand and meet set targets \nTrain new Warehouse operatives \nEnsure inventories are accurate \nEnsure stock movements are recorded accurately \n Identify any system improvements and make recommendations for change \n Review ways to reduce waste or damage \nAssist in planning future capacity requirements \nCommunicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements \nReport progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager \nSupervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others \n Good communication and interpersonal skills \nLeadership Responsibilities:\nThere are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position, but this person must have the skills to interact as a leader with all plant department employees.\nRequirements: (education, skills, and abilities)\nHigh School diploma or GED (required). \nExperience in a fast-paced warehouse environment. \nExperience with (SAP) Warehouse Management System (required). 1-3 years \nComputer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) (required). \nAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations. \nAbility to input data on computer to create daily reports. \nAccuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying loads. \nStrong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills. \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)\nThe ability to stand for extended periods\nThe ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions. \nUse of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling) \nThe ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment\nThe ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold). \nThe ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule. \nThe ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively. \nThe ability to reach or work above the shoulder \nIncumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
