We are passionate, we care about people, we perform at a superior level, and we protect others and our environments.\nCompensation\nThe base hourly rate for this position is $35.14.Fleet Driver\nThis position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. Drives and operates a combination of trucks and vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight of more than 26,001 pounds and that requires a Class A license and HAZMAT certification.\nResponsibilities:\nDeliver full truckloads of Johns Manville products to jobsites and warehouses.\nSafely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations.\nFull time position - solo operator\nLoads dispatch out of Hillsboro, TX daily by planning routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.\n5-day operation with some weekend exceptions; some overnight travel- Must be flexible with scheduling\nEquipment: primarily flatbeds with some dry vans\nInterstate deliveries (TX), and Intrastate locations such as but not limited to OK, and LA.\nDrivers must keep a detailed driver log, consisting of mileage, travel time, and sleep to document that they have complied with the regulations set in place by the Department of Transportation.\nDrivers must have the physical capabilities required to drive a truck for long periods of time and be strong enough to tie down their loads properly to safely transport load.\nMust have excellent customer service and communication skills\nPerform vehicle inspection reports\nMust use personal protective equipment as required and adhere to safety protocols\nWill be required to operate a forklift and work in a warehouse\nAssist with other tasks as needed.\nLeadership Responsibilities:\nThere are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.\nRequirements: (education, skills, and abilities)\nProven track record of at least 5 years of safe and verifiable driving experience\nCurrent Medical Certification\nValid Class A CDL with HazMat Endorsement\nAbility to meet Johns Manville's driving qualifications\nAbility to safely operate a forklift\nAbility to pass a drug screen test\nMust be able to tarp, strap, & chain loads to maintain cargo security and safety\nNo DUI/DWI convictions\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)\nThe ability to stand for extended periods\nThe ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.\nUse of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)\nThe ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment\nThe ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).\nThe ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.\nThe ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.\nPlease Keep in Mind\nIf you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
