This is a Maintenance Multi-craft position working to ensure minimal down time while demonstrating safe work practices. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions according to established operating procedures.\nThe right candidate will have a stable track record (work history), great work ethic, and great attitude. Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.\nThe base hourly rate for Maintenance Mechanic is: $42.33/Hr.\nEmployee must be able to work 10:00am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday and OT when needed.\nWhat you bring to the Team:\nMinimum of High School Diploma with technical college certification or Associatesdegree in technical discipline with 2 or more years of industrial experience in mechanical/electrical repairs -- or- 4 years of strong industrial experience in mechanical/electrical repairs in lieu of a formal education\nExperience troubleshooting PLC & field devices\nExperience using multi meters and otherelectronic test equipment\nExperience operatingvarious machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grindersand related equipment to makerepairs.\nWelding, gas cutting, and fabrication experience\nExperience diagnosing, repairing, and installing power transmission components - Gear boxes, couplings, chains, belts, sprocketsand other related components.\nKey Responsibilities\nGenerate, readand work formelectrical schematics, sketchesor verbal instructions in making assemblies and installations. \nProficient in use of current, voltage & resistance meters and otherelectronic test equipment. Makes electrical measurements and calculations as required. \nTroubleshoot power and control circuits for plant power distribution and machine control. Document systems in schematic form and install, andstart up systems.\nProficient in reading relay logic diagrams, modifyingcircuitry in the fieldor installing new.\nKnowledgeable in microprocessor basedcontrols/PLC's. Troubleshoot control logic.\nHave knowledge of DC and AC drives. Integrate systems that utilizesmicroprocessor/ PLC's, drives and controls to operate/improve systems operations.\nSupervise/manage small projects as assigned. Work independently.\nOperate various machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grindersand related equipment to make repairs.\nMaintains, adjusts, servicesand lubricates plant equipment such as production machines, mobile equipment, pumps, valvesand other process related equipment. Inspectsand determinesrequired repairs.\nMaintains and makes repairs to plant buildings, facilities, utilities and area systems involving plumbing, carpentry, masonry, pipe fittingand other related crafts.\nDiagnose, repairand install power transmission components - Gear boxes, couplings, chains, belts, sprocketsand other related components.\nPerforms welding and gas cutting as required.\nDiagnose, repairand install pneumatic and hydraulicssystems - cylinders, hoses, pumpsand valves.\nUses safe working practices and reportshazardous conditions at all times. Maintains workingarea neat and orderly.\nReports time and documentswork orders appropriately to SAP.\nUtilizes inventory system and assures all parts are removed and returned to inventory as required.\nAssistsin production line changeover and setup.\nWork Environment\nThe job requires working frequently around and with heavy machinery with moving mechanical parts, and mobile equipment. The environment is not climate controlled, and employees must be able to work in environments that may be extremely hot and or cold depending upon the operation and the season. The environment may be dirty from oils/grease and may be noisy from the machinery. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
