Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Plant Engineer at the Penbryn, NJ plant.\nThe plant is ideally situated in South Jersey, close to Philadelphia, and offers full-time employment with competitive pay and benefits. This position reports to the Plant Manager.\nYour Day to Day:\nComplete safety requirements as assigned\nHold direct reports accountable for completing assignments\nManage the Asset Care & Reliability (AC&R) Program for continual improvements to maintenance\nManages plant-driven capital projects:\nPrepare, organize, document, and archive project documentation. Communicate risks to project timeline and budget as needed.\nCoordinate, review, provide oversight, and ensure safety compliance of suppliers and contractor activities for all aspects of the project on and off site\nEnsure compliance to technical specifications and contracts for equipment and services for all aspects of projects\nCoordinate, review, provide oversight and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed\nProvide direct field or on-site leadership of internal project resources and external contractor and sub-contractor personnel and resources as required to achieve project goals and deliverables\nDevelop and manage long-term Capex programs\nOversee the purchasing of MRO materials\nSupport, develop and drive productivity improvements\nManage and control plant energy program\nManage, control and report spend for plant maintenance budget\nOversee and coordinate Information Technology activities, acting as a liaison with the corporate IT department.\nManages a staff of salary employees; sets direction and deploys resources.\nResponsible for performance evaluations, performance coaching, hiring, on-boarding, training and terminating.\nThis position is on-call and is contacted frequently during upset conditions\nAppropriately administer and apply plant and corporate policies\nMay be required to perform other related duties as assigned\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nBachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 6 years maintenance/plant/manufacturing/project engineering experience and 2 years' experience in a leadership role\nWorking knowledge/understanding of ERP Systems\nThorough knowledge of environmental and safety Local/State/Federal rules/regulations\nStrong leadership skills\nManages a staff of 3 salary/40 hourly union employees, sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminating.\nStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook\nProven problem-solving abilities\nProven analytical and quality improvement ability\nAbility to understand business principles\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment\nAbility to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally\nMinimal travel required (0 -- 10 days per year)\nMay be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to an including 50 pounds.\nWork environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.\nIncumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
