Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.\nOur corporate R&D process technology team is looking for a 2027 summer intern who is passionate about operational improvement, engineering design, and data analysis. If you enjoy working on projects that combine process improvement with engineering analysis, working on a strong collaborative and teamwork environment, this may be the position for you! This position reports to the Process Research Manager. Specific project details will not be known until closer to the intern's start date.\nYour Day to Day:\nActively support the process and engineering standardization efforts within the R&D process technology team developing automated data analysis platforms for process and operational improvement decisions.\nSupport the process technology team in the development and integration of standardized design and process protocols and documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy.\nAssist R&D Engineers on operational support activities with data sampling, analysis and recommendations.\nProvide project status and process analysis reports as required.\nDomestic travel to plants if needed.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nPursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nCompleted sophomore, junior or senior year of undergraduate course work and enrolled in classes for Fall 2027.\nCompleted coursework in heat-mass transfer, fluid dynamics, electrical circuits, numerical methods or data analytics.\nExperience with MS Office 365 Suite (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nExperience with commercial CAD software applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nJunior or Senior\nCompleted coursework in heat-mass transfer, fluid dynamics, electrical circuits, and data analytics.\nExperience developing interactive dashboards in Power BI is highly preferred.\nExperience with CAD creation preferably in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.\nExperience with Python is preferred.\nStrong organizational and communication skills.\nMust have excellent writing and presentation skills\nResult’s oriented individual able to meet project deadlines.\nWillingness to learn and collaborate in high paced team environment.\nGPA of at least 3.0 at an accredited college or university.\nINTERNSHIP PROGRAM\nThe Johns Manville Internship Program is designed to provide challenging and fulfilling work in your area of expertise.
