We are passionate, we care about people, we perform at a superior level, and we protect others and our environments.\nCompensation\nThe base hourly rate for this position is $18.70.JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for preforming all duties on a professional level and complying with the Production Superintendent, under direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Working from general instructions from the plant management team, and all levels within the organization in support of the four Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance, and Protection.\nShift: 2pm - 10:30pm\nRate: $20.36\nYour Day to Day:\nSupports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.\nShow initiative in supporting safety, plant wide. Participate on committees as required.\nEnsures that all Housekeeping & 5S areas of responsibility have been completed before end of shift and keeps equipment, work areas and other prescribed areas clean and orderly at all times.\nWears all required and proper PPE.\nOperates a lift truck or other material handling equipment in servicing production as required (must be properly licensed).\nUses safe work practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times to supervisor.\n Complete computer-based training and all other programs needed to stay in compliance with company policy’s.\nReceives and follows verbal and written instructions from supervisor or leader. Prepares production reports as directed or required.\nMust be able to operate the comet and the table saw\nTake Off- Remove form PVC fittings from table saw and place them on the next table which is the band saw.\nFlip the PVC fittings at the table\nTrimming PVC fittings with hand scissors to the correct lengths\nReports equipment malfunctions, operation delays, or product defects immediately to supervisor or leader.\nConducts all Cut & Curl tasks independently and at set production rate Prepares production reports as directed or required.\nPerforms molding operation for PVC fittings, on unit or line as directed. Inspect fittings for obvious defects-surface, thickness, other as directed- a beginning of shift, and throughout the production run.\nOperate Horizontal Band Saw & Small Mike Thermoformer\nCross trained in either the 300 room, Inline, or Comet Floor Grinder start/stop\nAssist with Horizontal blade change\nWhat you bring to the table:\nHigh School diploma or GED \nFlexible in work and assignments\nEffective interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in team-based environment, flexibility, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in a safe manor, demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities during the course of the day. \nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time on cement floors\nMust be able to walk, stoop, kneel and climb ladders and staircases.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs as required.\nPlease Keep in Mind\nIf you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
