We are passionate, we care about people, we perform at a superior level, and we protect others and our environments.\nCompensation\nThe base hourly rate for this position is $17.94.This is a non-production position loading, unloading and moving product and material within or near the plant, yard, or work site. This position skillfully loads trucks for shipment of product. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:\nInspect forklift daily.\nOperate forklift\nWhile using forklift performs proper lifting and handling methods for handling product safely and without damage to product.\nStack cartons in trailer to maximize space.\nUnloads materials onto or from pallets.\nIdentify product size and understand date code markings on cartons.\nPrepare product for LTL shipments.\nOperate Spot Truck.\nIdentify damaged product and segregate so defective product will not be shipped to customers.\nConsolidate and inspect all material to ensure product/inventory integrity\nCount products in warehouse for month-end and year-end inventory counts.\nAlways use safe work practices, follows all safety rules and procedures, immediately reports any hazardous conditions, fully participate in safety programs.\nPerform safety observations and complete training assignments.\nWears all personal protective equipment as required by management, including but not limited to all or some of the following; protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask or respirator.\nRegular attendance is required.\nPerforms other duties as directed.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and ten years in role with demonstrated skill.\nIIG Forklift Certified\nAbility to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. \nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. \nIncumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
