In this role you will actively participate and lead a team of technical employees in a full range of field commercial and technical support functions including assignments requiring special qualifications/attainments. Apply today to help us transform buildings in North America!\nHow you will do it\nLead and develop a team of application engineers. Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop application engineers. Conduct performance reviews, establish goals, and create Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Build technical competency within the team.\nSupport revenue growth through quotation excellence. Ensure timely, accurate, and competitive special quote support for the field sales organization. Balance risk, cost, product capability, and customer requirements. Drive quote turnaround time improvements.\nServe as technical authority for complex applications. Provide guidance on challenging semi-custom AHU applications. Support compliance with codes, standards, and customer specifications. Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.\nPartner closely with sales leadership. Work with regional sales managers and representatives to understand market needs. Prioritize opportunities based on strategic value and business impact. Help translate customer requirements into viable product solutions.\nSupport Customer Visits with factory tours and product presentations.\nAssist with training opportunities for field sales at both the factory and in the field.\nDrive consistency in application decisions. Establish and maintain application guidelines, design standards, and best practices. Ensure similar requests receive consistent recommendations across the organization. \nImprove quotation and engineering processes. Identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste in the quote-to-order process. Develop and enhance tools, templates, configurators, and knowledge databases. Improve speed, quality, and scalability of engineering support through Lean practices.\nWork with engineering to develop efficient resolutions to unique semi-custom AHU applications. Review and analyze engineering rules and documents. Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives.\nSupport the SelNav team to develop selection and pricing software requirements. Coordinate AEs and participate in SelNav testing and verfication for monthly releases.\nProvide Voice-of-Customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering. Identify recurring customer requests, competitive gaps, and emerging market trends. Recommend product improvements and new feature development.\nAssist Airside Technical Service with field application issues.\nMinimal travel throughout the year to support sales and application training.\nWhat we look for:\nRequired:\nBS degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science\nMinimum of 5-10 years’ experience, with substantial experience in the design, sales, or applications of Air Handling Units.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
