In this role, you will help lead construction installation projects that protect people, property, and critical operations.\nRole Overview\nThe Fire Alarm Construction Manager is responsible for the daily leadership and coordination of fire alarm construction installation projects. This is a field-focused role, spending much of the time onsite with customers, installers, and project partners to keep work safe, organized, on schedule, and financially on track. The ideal candidate is hands-on, entrepreneurial, and experienced in fast-paced commercial fire alarm installation environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage daily operations of construction installation projects for fire alarm systems.\nCoach and mentor technicians, apprentices, and other direct reports.\nOrder materials and equipment needed to support project execution.\nMonitor project financials, budgets, and hours assigned to each job.\nMaintain installer schedules and coordinate labor planning with operations.\nProvide accurate project status updates during WIP meetings.\nAttend construction meetings and interface with end-users, architects, and general contractors.\nConduct regular job site safety walkthroughs, EHS evaluations, and accident investigations.\nSupport interviewing and evaluation of employees and apprentices as needed.\nHow You Will Do It\nLead with accountability in the field, keeping safety, quality, and integrity at the center of every project decision.\nStay close to the work by visiting job sites regularly, removing obstacles quickly, and keeping customers informed.\nSet clear productivity and performance expectations, then follow through with coaching and constructive feedback.\nMaintain current and documented safety and industry training for all technicians so they are prepared before arriving onsite.\nUse WIP meetings, scheduling tools, and project updates to keep execution visible and financially disciplined.\nWork collaboratively with Operations and project partners, using candor and problem-solving to improve results every day.\nBuild trust across teams by bringing together diverse perspectives and aligning everyone around project goals.\nQualifications\n5-10 years of management experience in fire alarm installation within the commercial industry.\nProject management experience.\nEstimating experience.\nFire Alarm, Access Controls, and CCTV certifications.\nExperience with Excel and other Microsoft products.\nGood written and oral communication skills.\nProficiency with personal computers, including Windows 7/XP/NT/2000.\nStrong field presence and the ability to spend 70%-80% of the time visiting project sites and customers.\nNice to Have\nNICET Certification license 3 or greater.\nKnowledge of P&L.\nWhy Join Us\nCompetitive salary and bonus plan.\n15 days of vacation in the first year.\nComprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care.\nExtensive product and on-the-job/cross-training opportunities.\nEncouraging and collaborative team environment.\nDedication to safety through Zero Harm policy.\nCompany vehicle.\nJCI employee discount programs.\nIf you're ready to lead fire alarm construction projects with a safety-first mindset and a hands-on approach, we encourage you to apply.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $100k-115k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
