This field-based role supports customers by troubleshooting basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues, responding to warranty calls, and helping buildings operate efficiently through reliable service and clear communication.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.\nLoad system-level controller software.\nPerform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators.\nTroubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.\nRespond to basic warranty calls and provide service-related support at customer sites.\nCalibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment.\nComplete commissioning documentation, time sheets, expense reports, on-site documentation, and as-built updates.\nCommunicate job progress, issues, arrival, and completion status with management, contractors, and customers.\nProvide recommendations and solutions to help improve facility efficiency and support quoting needs.\nFollow all safety standards and attend required safety training.\nHow You Will Do It\nOwn each assignment safely, accurately, and with integrity from arrival through closeout.\nStay close to the work by verifying issues at the controller, device, and system level before acting.\nKeep customers, contractors, and management informed with clear updates, documentation, and follow-through.\nLook for practical improvements during each visit and turn service findings into useful recommendations.\nWork as one team by sharing information, asking for support when needed, and using internal resources well.\nApproach every job with a continuous-improvement mindset and resolve issues with candor and problem-solving.\nQualifications\nDemonstrated technical aptitude.\nBasic computer skills.\nAble to use hand and power tools such as drills and saws.\nAttention to detail.\nEffective communication and listening skills.\nBasic knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.\nAbility to use basic electronic test equipment for calibration and diagnostics.\nAbility to meet any local licensing requirements for mounting and termination of low-voltage devices, where applicable.\nNice to Have\nTwo years of experience installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.\nDemonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.\nExperience with low-voltage or 120-volt wiring.\nExperience with building automation or controls commissioning.\nWhy Join Us\nWe offer competitive pay, paid vacation/holidays/sick time with 10 days of vacation in the first year, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision care available day one.
