In this role, you will lead truck-based HVAC service operations for data center customers across a regional territory, helping ensure reliable service delivery, strong customer outcomes, and safe field execution.\nRole Overview\nThis position oversees HVAC domain service operations in a defined territory and directly manages a small team of Technicians and/or Technician Team Leads. You will be accountable for day-to-day service execution, team performance, customer satisfaction, and the on-time, accurate delivery of installations, inspections, and service commitments in a data center environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide day-to-day leadership and operational management for a truck-based HVAC service team supporting data center customers.\nPlan and coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and field execution to meet service commitments, SLAs, and customer expectations.\nDirect the installation, inspection, and service work performed by Technicians and Technician Team Leads, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion.\nManage labor utilization, staffing needs, and resource allocation across the territory to support current demand and future growth.\nMonitor service performance, profitability, and operational metrics, including revenue, margin, forecasting accuracy, and cost control.\nCoach, develop, and support team members to strengthen technical capability, customer communication, and field productivity.\nPartner with branch leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, remove barriers, and keep commitments to customers.\nSupport safety, compliance, and policy adherence across all service activities.\nMaintain clear communication with customers regarding work status, follow-up actions, and service outcomes.\nContribute to service growth through customer account support, Labor and Materials (L&M) execution, and planned service activity where applicable.\nHow You Will Do It\nYou will take ownership of outcomes, holding yourself and the team accountable for safe, high-quality delivery and professional customer service.\nYou will stay close to the work, remove obstacles quickly, and keep priorities focused on what matters most to the customer and the site.\nYou will use clear follow-up, practical problem-solving, and candid communication to improve service performance every day.\nYou will work as one team across technicians, leadership, and support functions, building trust and using different perspectives to reach strong decisions.\nUse workload planning, dispatch discipline, and regular field review to balance urgency, quality, and labor efficiency.\nTrack service execution closely so inspections, installations, and repairs are completed accurately and on time.\nDevelop team capability through coaching, feedback, and consistent expectations in the field.\nQualifications\nUniversity degree or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC service, field operations, or a related technical service leadership role.\nExperience directly managing or supervising technicians, team leads, or similar field-based employees.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC service operations, including installation, inspections, troubleshooting, and customer support.\nExperience working with scheduling, dispatch, capacity planning, service coordination, or similar operational controls.\nAbility to manage service performance, customer expectations, and team priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work with Microsoft Office products and standard service management tools for reporting, planning, and documentation.\nCommitment to safety, compliance, and quality in a customer-facing field environment.\nNice to Have\nExperience supporting data center customers or other mission-critical environments.\nExperience managing Labor and Materials (L&M) activity, planned service agreements, or service account performance.\nExperience with forecasting, margin management, budgeting, or account-level service reporting.\nBackground in building controls, mechanical systems, or a similar technical trade environment.\nWhy Join Us\nAt Johnson Controls, you will be part of a team that values safety, collaboration, and customer impact.
