We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and delivering tailored solutions to meet our clients' unique needs.\nPosition Overview:\nThe CREO Electrical Equipment Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining production-ready electrical designs for OEM equipment used in data center and mission-critical applications.\nThis position has a strong focus on PTC Creo and the integration of electrical systems into the complete 3D product definition. The role supports the development of electrical equipment layouts, electrical components, cable and wire harness routing, assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and associated manufacturing documentation.\nWorking closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Project Engineering, the Electrical Equipment Designer ensures designs are accurate, code-compliant, manufacturable, serviceable, standardized, and fully integrated into the overall equipment design.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWhat you will do:\nDevelop electrical equipment designs using PTC Creo, including 3D component placement, assemblies, cable routing, and wire harnesses.\nCreate and maintain production-ready 3D models, drawings, harness documentation, and BOMs.\nIntegrate electrical components into complex equipment assemblies while considering fit, clearance, accessibility, manufacturability, and serviceability.\nDevelop cable and wire harness routing, connector definitions, termination points, and manufacturing documentation.\nEnsure designs meet applicable CEC, NEC, UL, CSA, customer, and EDE standards.\nSupport design reviews, engineering changes, prototype builds, and production issue resolution.\nApply DFM/DFA principles to improve electrical installation, assembly, and repeatability.\nSupport standardized Creo electrical components, libraries, templates, and design practices.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Production to deliver robust, production-ready designs.\nWhat we are looking for:\nDiploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering.\nStrong proficiency with PTC Creo or comparable 3D CAD software.\nExperience with electrical equipment design, 3D electrical integration, cable routing, or wire harness development.\nAbility to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.\nExperience developing production drawings and structured BOMs.\nUnderstanding of electrical components, connectors, cables, terminal blocks, control devices, and electrical panels.\nStrong understanding of manufacturability, assembly, and engineering change control.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Creo Cabling and/or Creo Schematics.\nExperience developing 3D wire harnesses and flattened/nail-board harness drawings.\nExperience with Windchill PLM and SAP.\nExperience with data center, HVAC, modular equipment, industrial machinery, or other complex OEM products.\nFamiliarity with CEC, NEC, UL, and CSA requirements.\nExperience with DFM/DFA, VAVE, modularization, or design standardization.\nWhy Join Johnson Controls / Silent - Aire\nJoin a team where your engineering expertise directly impacts product performance, manufacturability, and customer success.
