Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.\nHow you will do it\nUnder direction and guidance of supervisor and senior technicians, provide technical support to and communication among the Prototype Build and Test team to assist in efficient execution of building and testing Variable Speed Drives and associated test fixtures.\nDesign fabricate or arrange for fabrication and testing of parts, components and sub-systems\nCollect and analyze data, e.g., test data, cost data\nPrepare complex and non-standard sketches and drawings and prepare design documents\nReview and mark drawings to support drafting and design documents\nPerform routine system and component calculations, selections and write specifications\nCoordinate between customers and other departments to design, build and test component systems\nLead tasks within a project\nTroubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for manufacturing, service, test lab, etc and make recommendations\nPerform tests and write test procedures\nProvide limited technical guidance and assistance to operators as necessary to complete and coordinate activities\nProvide and exchange technical information to vendors, customers and inspectors for assigned products and components\nOrder, receive, and deliver equipment and information using company procedures\nFollow codes and procedures related to job\nProvide training to others in areas of technical and practical knowledge\nCommunicate technical information in written, verbal, and graphical form in a clear and precise manner\nFollow, and participate in creation of standard procedures, test Standards, test procedures, and processes. Adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards\nWhat we look for\nAS degree in engineering science (EE, EET preferred) and a minimum of 3 years direct work experience with electronic instrumentation, including DVMs, power analyzers and oscilloscopes is required. Other relevant education, or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. \nExperience working with three phase power from 380V to 600V.\nExperience troubleshooting basic electronic circuits\nExperience using various hand tools for fabrication of electronic/power assemblies and subassemblies.\nExperience using various hand crimp tools for fabrication of wire harnesses is preferred.\nExperience soldering and removing both thru-hole and surface mount components at PCB level.\nAbility to follow instructions with or without agreement\nA strong ability to multi-task is necessary.\nPossess strong verbal and written technical communication skill. \nAbility to interact efficiently and cooperatively within technical role with engineers and technicians\nAble to work in environments ranging from laboratory to manufacturing/testing facilities to field sites. \nAble to work in fast-paced, schedule driven work environment; possess the agility/adaptability to quickly move from one task to another when required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software. \nPossess the willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts/technologies on typically steep learning curves. \nWillingness to work overtime as needed\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: 27/hr - 36/hr (rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
