We are unable to sponsor H-1B Visas or other employment visas.\nWhat we offer\n· Competitive base salary and a comprehensive bonus program.\n· Three weeks paid vacation in a calendar year /holidays/sick time/three PTO days in a calendar year.\n· Comprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care - Available day one.\nCompany vehicle (as applicable)\n· Extensive product and on the job/cross training opportunities\n· Encouraging and collaborative team environment\n· Dedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy\n· Providing Scheduling and management support.\nWhat will you do\nLeadership & People Development\nLead, mentor, and develop Design Team Managers throughout the Western Region.\nBuild a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.\nSupport succession planning, recruiting, onboarding, and career development initiatives.\nConduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning with direct reports.\nPromote professional certification advancement, including NICET certifications and technical training.\nHow will you do it\nOperational Management\nManage regional engineering resources to balance workload, capacity, and technical expertise across districts.\nCoordinate staffing and project assignments to minimize non-productive time and maximize responsiveness to operations and sales teams.\nMonitor project delivery metrics, utilization, productivity, quality, and schedule performance.\nEnsure consistent use of engineering tools, standards, workflows, and design procedures.\nDrive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce design costs.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide subject matter expertise and guidance on complex electronic system designs.\nReview and resolve technical escalations involving code compliance, engineering challenges, and customer requirements.\nEnsure adherence to applicable codes, standards, company engineering practices, and customer specifications.\nSupport value engineering initiatives and design optimization efforts.\nBusiness Performance\nSupport achievement of regional productivity, margin improvement, and cost savings goals.\nMonitor key performance indicators including:Design productivity\nProject delivery performance\nOn-time completion metrics\nResource utilization\nCertification levels\nDesign quality\n\nPartner with Operations and Sales leadership to improve booking-to-design cycle times and project execution.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Support\nCollaborate with Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Installation leadership to support business growth.\nProvide technical consultation for complex pursuits and strategic customer opportunities.\nSupport pre-sale engineering activities, labor estimating, and design strategy development.\nServe as escalation point for major customer and operational design issues.\nRegional Coordination\nWork closely with the East Region Electronic Design Manager and National Fire Systems Engineering leadership to ensure consistency across regions.\nFacilitate sharing of best practices, technical expertise, and engineering resources.\nParticipate in strategic planning, organizational development, and national engineering initiatives.\nWhat we look for\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in the Fire Alarm Industry\nMust have NICET Certification Level II or higher.\nRequires good interpersonal skills, along with effective writing, speaking and presentation skills.\nDemonstrated management/leadership abilities to include training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, branch administration and effective interaction with customer/company management.\nAbility to read and comprehend financial statements. \nAbility to manage a remote regional team\nAbility to read and negotiate terms for standard construction contracts.\nPrevious P&L management experience a plus.\nKnowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes.\nProficient with MS Office as well as other design software, i.e. CAD.\nAbility to travel at no less than 45%\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $130,000 - $200,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
