We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and delivering tailored solutions to meet our clients' unique needs.\nThis is a Monday - Friday office position, with possibility of Hybrid setup.\nSummary\nThe Equipment Designer/Drafter is responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed 2D and 3D models used for engineering, architectural, or product-development projects. This role supports project engineers and senior designers by translating concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduce and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as Inventor, Creo, Revit or similar tools. \nInterpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design notes to develop accurate technical documentation. \nCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and other designers to ensure design intent is fully captured. \nMaintain drawing accuracy through version control, documentation updates, and adherence to drafting standards ASME Y14. \nPrepare layouts, assemblies, detail drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) as required. \nConduct basic design calculations or checks to validate dimensions and tolerances. \nParticipate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently. \nSupport the development of manufacturing, construction, or fabrication packages. \nIdentify design issues and propose practical solutions to improve manufacturability or constructability. \nEnsure all work complies with company standards, industry codes, and project requirements. \nRequired Qualifications\nCollege diploma in mechanical engineering design and drafting technology, or a related field \n2-5 years of professional experience in CAD drafting or design. \n2-5 years of experience supporting mechanical products and assemblies in a fast-paced environment. \nProficiency in Inventor & Creo \nStrong understanding of dimensioning, tolerancing, and drafting standards (GD&T if applicable). \nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation. \nSolid knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, or construction practices relevant to Manufacturing. \nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. \nEffective communication and collaboration skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with 3D modeling, assemblies, and parametric design.\nFamiliarity with PDM/PLM systems (e.g., Vault, Windchill, SolidWorks PDM). \nExposure to simulation tools (FEA, CFD) or rendering software. \nExperience working in industries such as manufacturing, architecture, aerospace, automotive, or product design. \nAssociate degree or technical certification in drafting, design technology, engineering technology, or related field. \nSoft Skills\nStrong problem-solving mindset. \nAbility to work independently while supporting team objectives. \nOrganized, methodical approach to documentation and revisions. \nWillingness to learn new tools, standards, and workflows. \nCreate fabrication drawings with weld symbols, machining notes, and GD&T. \nWork closely with shop floor teams to resolve manufacturability issues. \nBuild parametric models, assemblies, and exploded views. \nSupport prototyping and testing activities. \nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000 - $118,000 USD (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
