The Fabrication Supervisor shall ensure that fabrication schedules are executed and completed on time and within budget.\nHow you will do it\nDirect the fabrication workforce to achieve fabrication and production goals.\nSetting and updating the production plan following the production plan schedule/Master production Schedule).\nMonitoring of KPI performance indicators and development of action plans to improve trends.\nAbility to read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts.\nReview and advise on drawing packages before and after the build.\nAbility to use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch. Etc.) and train new operators in machine operation, safety procedures, and company policy.\nEnsure equipment maintenance, repairs and change overs are being properly executed and Senior Production Manager notified of any malfunction.\nAssistance and compliance with company inventory requirements.\nParticipates and enforces safety and sanitation regulations.\nParticipates, when required, in hiring of new department employees.\nCoordinate and schedule the activities of workers in order to ensure smooth flow of productivity.\nIdentify, investigate, correct, and document potential environmental and safety problems.\nEstablish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other units.\nResolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.\nEnsure production plan is being followed, and production objectives are met.\nRequisition materials and supplies, as required.\nPrepare production and other reports.\nMay also co-ordinate and schedule the activities of trades workers, laborers or other workers.\nOrganize department and keep department clean, also clean department at the end of each workday.\nAttend the daily Tier meetings, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity Metrics, KPI dashboards and visual management boards.\nPerforms all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code. Other duties as required.\nWhat we look for:\nPost secondary education in a related field is an asset.\n3 or more years’ experience as a production, construction, or fabrication supervisor.\nFabrication experience preferred.\nExperience with rigging, fall arrest, forklifts, and scissor lifts are assets.\nDirect working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management.\nKnowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nTraining in and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.\nKnowledge of local and federal regulations including AOHS and Employment Standards Code.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nExperience in metal working or forming is an asset.\nFirst Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $79,000 - $119,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
