Knowledge of architectural concerns, large-scale computer farms, control systems, and large industrial/commercial cooling distribution systems is a major plus for this role. You will have extensive experience being involved in large-scale technical operations and demonstrable problem-solving leadership with limited oversight as well as possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create work product with highly accurate results.\nYou will split your time between interfacing with our customers in the field and working with manufacturing teams to optimize our product(s) to provide the best possible service for our internal and external customers. You will work with design, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering teams to provide continual feedback from our customers.\nHow you will do it\nRead and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.\n\nMeasure and lay out reference points for installation.\n\nAssemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components using hand and power tools.\n\nMeasure and cut piping and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.\n\nStart up system and test for leaks using testing devices.\n\nRecharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance.\n\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of heating and cooling/refrigeration equipment/systems.\n\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC-based Custom Controls designed and built by Silent-Aire.\n\nFocus is on independently achieving general objectives in support of an assigned project.\n\nWork independently on varied assignments requiring a broad and/or specialized knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC.\n\nDecision making is guided by applying standard procedures, may make modifications of procedures or use methods developed in previous assignments.\n\nYou will be required to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical staff while maintaining a high level of communication with both internal and external stakeholders, customers, contractors, and industry peers.\n\nWhat we look for\nRequired:\nMust possess a valid driver’s license\n\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate\n\nKnowledge of operating principles of various types of cooling/refrigeration equipment and systems\n\nKnowledge of electricity and electrical and solid state control systems\n\nKnowledge of safety practices and building codes\n\nCustomer service skills\n\nPrevious experience with start up and commissioning responsibilities at customers facilities\n\nAbility to read, understand and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics\n\nAbility to maintain required records and prepare reports\n\nMust possess valid passport/driver’s license\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nAptitude and communications skills related to acting independently\n\nTechnical and working knowledge of internal and industry design and construction codes and standards\n\nProven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision-making, supplemented with a practical aptitude\n\nAbility to lift 40lbs and use ladders working from heights\n\nNeed to have experience working in highly sensitive and/or mission critical facilities\n\nIndustrial, Manufacturing Facilities and Field and office environments\n\nPreferred:\nRegistered refrigeration/HVAC tech, controls tech, Electrician Journeyman or related tradesperson\n\nAdditional Details\nTravel is required to field worksite locations\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)\n\nMust be able to pass a DOD background check, requiring proof of US Citizenship\n\nWillingness to travel to customer locations (domestic and international)\n\nThis is a safety sensitive position\n\nCompany uniform required\n\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $26 - 32/hr.
