This role is responsible for developing early-career finance talent while building a strong pipeline of future finance leaders for the organization.\nWorking closely with Finance and Human Resources leadership, you will oversee participant development, program operations, stakeholder engagement, and learning initiatives to deliver a best-in-class experience that supports both business objectives and employee growth. This highly visible role serves as a critical leadership development pipeline for the Finance organization and supports more than 50 early-career employees across multiple locations.\nHow You Will Do It\nLead the overall strategy, execution, and administration of Finance and Accounting internship and rotational programs.\nPartner with Finance and HR leaders to identify talent needs, development priorities, and succession planning opportunities that support long-term business objectives.\nManage participant performance, career development, coaching, and progression through the program while fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.\nDesign and deliver learning and development experiences focused on finance acumen, professional development, leadership capability, and business knowledge.\nBuild and maintain relationships with universities, professional organizations, and external partners to strengthen Johnson Controls' early talent pipeline and employer brand.\nOversee onboarding, mentorship, sponsorship, and rotational experiences to ensure participants receive meaningful development opportunities and exposure across the business.\nServe as Chair of the Regional Steering Committee, collaborating with global program leaders to align best practices and drive consistency across early talent programs.\nMonitor program success through participant feedback, retention metrics, performance outcomes, and other key performance indicators to continuously improve program effectiveness.\nInfluence and engage senior leaders, managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and talent development priorities.\nCoach participants and managers through performance discussions, developmental feedback, and career planning conversations.\nWhat We Look For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience in finance, leadership development, talent development, early career program management, learning and development, or a related discipline.\nStrong understanding of finance and accounting concepts, with the ability to credibly coach and develop finance talent.\nDemonstrated experience leading complex programs and driving results through influence and collaboration.\nProven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees across various stages of their careers.\nStrong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to provide constructive feedback, navigate difficult conversations, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.\nStrong project management, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working within a Finance or Accounting function.\nExperience leading internship, rotational, early career, or leadership development programs.\nKnowledge of talent management, succession planning, performance management, and employee development practices.\nExperience partnering with universities, campus recruiting teams, and external talent organizations.\nDemonstrated success developing high-potential talent and building leadership pipelines.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000-$120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
