This role places a strong emphasis on networked fire alarm systems, while also supporting panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, low-voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems and related building system products.\nHandle panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and repair, low-voltage circuit troubleshooting, and system testing.\nSupport the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels, with primary focus on networked fire alarm systems.\nRespond to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner and complete troubleshooting and repair work as needed.\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, software/system programs, and operational/product manuals.\nSupervise and inspect equipment installation to help ensure customer and contract specifications are met.\nOrganize technical resources, information, materials, and support to complete assigned tasks efficiently.\nComplete required certification courses and submit task, activity, productivity, and other documentation on time.\nHow You Will Do It\nOwn each service call with safety, accountability, and integrity, delivering work customers can rely on.\nStay close to the work, understand site conditions, and remove obstacles quickly so customer issues are resolved without delay.\nUse a methodical approach to diagnostics, test systems thoroughly, and work toward the root cause rather than temporary fixes.\nKeep communication clearwith customers, dispatch, and teammates so everyone understands the plan, status, and next steps.\nApply a continuous-improvement mindsetby documenting findings accurately, sharing candid observations, and learning from each job.\nWork collaboratively across functions and sites, drawing on the strengths of the team to deliver the best result.\nQualifications\n1 years of documented experience in low-voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nExperience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.\nExperience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.\nBasic understanding of network concepts and architectures.\nAbility to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.\nAbility to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.\nAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.\nOvernight travel may be required.\nStrong customer service skills and the ability to lead and work well with team members.\nAbility to follow and always apply safety guidelines and procedures.\nStrong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.\nValid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.\nAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.\nAbility to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.\nNice to Have\nTwo-year Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science, or a related field.\nNICET Level II, or the ability to obtain it within the first year.\nWhy Join Us\nJoin a team focused on smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, where your work helps protect people, property, and critical operations.
