Experienced candidates from other locations are also encouraged to apply, and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates, subject to applicable conditions.\nHere's what we have to offer:\nCompetitive pay. \nPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time\nEmployees residing in Labrador City are eligible for a northern living allowance.\nComprehensive benefits package, pension, medical, dental, and vision care - available from day one. \nExtensive product and on-the-job/cross-training opportunities, supported by our outstanding internal resources. \nEncouraging and collaborative team environment. \nDedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy. \nJCI Employee discount programs (The Loop by Perk Spot). \nWhat you will do:\nTechnicians are responsible for performing routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm and life safety systems.\nHow you will do it:\nWork with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. \nComplete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy. \nFollow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. \nInput, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer. \nMake repairs with minimal supervision. \nProvide technical training to other inspectors and trainees. \nComplete assigned inspections on time. \nWhat we are looking for:\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nExperience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.\nExperience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. \nCapable of performing physical labour to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs. \nAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.\nAbility to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. \nAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. \nDemonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.\nDemonstrate a high level of customer service. \nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nSelf-starter that can work with little to no supervision. \nStrong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. \nAbility to pass a criminal background check and any site-required alcohol and drug testing.\nPossess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. \nPreferred\n CFAA Certificate\n2+ years documented experience in Fire and /or Life Safety Systems. \nProficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone apps. \nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.00-$ 36.00(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
