You will work closely with customers, Project Managers, Sales, and the Billing and Collections teams to remove payment barriers, ensure billing documentation is complete and accurate, and help collect outstanding balances in a timely manner.\nHow You Will Do It\nReview outstanding receivables with the Fire Install Manager and Collections team to prioritize past-due invoices and cash collection follow-up.\nContact customers regarding unpaid invoices, confirm payment status and expected payment dates, and document collection activity and commitments.\nIdentify payment barriers and coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve missing documentation, billing discrepancies, and invoice approval issues.\nPrepare and submit invoices, payment applications, and required supporting documentation through customer billing portals within established deadlines.\nTrack portal submissions through acceptance and approval, address rejected or incomplete submissions, and follow up on items delaying payment.\nConfirm customer billing requirements, submission schedules, purchase order references, and billing contacts to help prevent invoice rejections and payment delays.\nMaintain accurate records of outstanding invoices, dispute status, portal submissions, payment commitments, and next steps.\nFollow up on missed payment commitments and escalate unresolved collection issues to the Fire Install Manager and appropriate internal teams.\nAssist Project Managers with special billing forms, invoice corrections, and credit requests needed to resolve disputes, following established approval processes.\nPartner with the Billing and Collections teams to answer customer invoicing questions and support timely, accurate billing and payment follow-up.\nServe as the local Install department’s Dispute Champion by coordinating the investigation, resolution, and escalation of accounts receivable disputes.\nCoordinate delivery of close-out documentation and other customer-required records that support final payment and release of outstanding balances.\nAttend weekly Work in Progress (WIP) meetings and provide updates on collection priorities, invoice disputes, and billing issues affecting cash collection.\nProvide the Fire Install Manager with regular visibility into outstanding balances, expected payments, unresolved disputes, and actions needed to move collections forward.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support local cash collection, billing coordination, and department operations.\nThis position’s primary focus is cash collection support, invoice dispute resolution, and customer portal billing submissions for the local market.\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nProficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nValid driver’s license with a good driving record\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nStrong ability to prioritize and multitask with strict adherence to deadlines\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated\nAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen\nPositive attitude, punctuality, and accountability\nCustomer service experience\nPreferred\nAssociate’s degree\n3-5 years of relevant experience\nExperience in a high-volume, customer-service-oriented environment\nElectrical or construction industry experience\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $31.87 - $43.75 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
