In this role, you will help deliver fire division projects that keep fire alarm, security, and communications systems moving smoothly from planning through closeout.\nRole Overview\nAs a Fire Project Manager 1, you will lead complex installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. You will be responsible for setting up local project offices, defining scope and risk, coordinating resources, and managing schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations to deliver projects on time and within scope.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects from kickoff through closeout.\nSet up local project offices and define scope, risk, project methodology, and resource allocation.\nCoordinate project progression through design, permits, material delivery, labor scheduling, and field installation.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans to support schedule and budget commitments.\nConduct Work in Progress meetings and provide clear project updates to management and customers.\nManage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.\nEnsure projects are closed on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.\nFollow published codes, standards, unique project specifications, AHJ requirements, and departmental/SOX procedures.\nCoordinate change orders and support margin improvement on every job.\nHow You Will Do It\nStay close to the work by keeping design, permitting, materials, labor, and field installation aligned from start to finish.\nOwn outcomes with accountability by managing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and closeout with clear follow-through.\nUse Work in Progress meetings and project reviews to surface issues early, communicate candidly, and remove obstacles before they affect delivery.\nCollaborate with customers, field teams, and internal partners as one team so priorities stay aligned and decisions move the job forward.\nLook for continuous improvement on every project by tightening processes, capturing lessons learned, and improving margin where possible.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nCertificate or diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic, Security, or a related field.\n5 years of installation experience in fire, electrical, or security systems.\nAbility to obtain Project Management Professional certification within two years of employment.\nNICET Level II certification to be obtained within one year of employment.\nProficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Project.\nAbility to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros.\nAvailability for frequent local travel.\nNice to Have\nCertification in Fire Alarm Systems.\nWhy Join Us\nYou will join a supportive, collaborative environment with opportunities for on-the-job and cross-training.
