In this role, you will help plan and deliver fire alarm projects that support Critical Data Center Environments.\nRole Overview\nAs a Fire Alarm Project Manager, you will lead moderately complex Data Center fire alarm projects from initiation through completion. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer expectations while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, in scope, and in line with applicable codes and standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead moderately complex fire alarm projects with medium to high corporate priority.\nDefine project scope, identify risks, allocate resources, and support project methodology and delivery planning.\nOversee project progression from design through permits, material delivery, labor scheduling, field installation, testing, and closeout.\nMaintain control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.\nConduct Work in Progress meetings and provide clear project updates to management and customers.\nFollow published codes, standards, unique project specifications, AHJ requirements, and departmental procedures.\nCoordinate change orders, manage vendor relationships when required, and support margin improvement on every job.\nRepresent Johnson Controls professionally in customer, architect, engineer, and internal team interactions.\nHow You Will Do It\nTake ownership of project outcomesby tracking schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations with consistency and accountability.\nStay close to the workby coordinating design details, permits, procurement, labor plans, and field activity so issues are identified early and removed quickly.\nUse clear, candid communicationin WIP meetings, status reviews, and customer discussions to keep everyone aligned on progress, risks, and next steps.\nContinuously improve project executionby resolving issues early, following through on commitments, and applying lessons learned to future work.\nWork as one teamwith customers, vendors, field teams, and internal partners to deliver a professional and dependable project experience.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nTwo or more years of experience as a project manager or in design work within the FIRE ALARM protection industry.\nAbility to work in a matrix structure and manage conflict resolution across multiple stakeholders.\nAbility to manage several complex projects at the same time.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.\nAbility to create tracking spreadsheets, reference data across spreadsheets, and build macros as needed.\nStrong organization, attention to detail, and self-motivation.\nNice to Have\nBachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field.\nFive years of fire protection, construction, or related project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read and understand complex architectural, mechanical, and electrical building documents.\nKnowledge of standards, Underwriter’s requirements, and applicable building codes.\nNICET Fire Alarm and/or security product knowledge.\nWhy Join Us\nCompetitive base salary and a comprehensive bonus program.\nThree weeks of paid vacation in a calendar year, holidays, sick time, and three PTO days in a calendar year.\nComprehensive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision care available day one.\nExtensive product and on-the-job / cross-training opportunities.\nEncouraging and collaborative team environment.\nDedication to safety through Zero Harm policy.\nScheduling and management support.\nJCI employee discount programs through The Loop by Perk Spot.\nIf this sounds like the right next step for your fire alarm project management career, we encourage you to apply.\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $95K-$125k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
