Based primarily in Aberdeen, this role combines both workshop and site-based activities, offering a varied and hands-on working environment. There will also be opportunities to support offshore, marine, and international projects as business requirements dictate.\nWhat we can offer\nCompetitive salary\n25 days paid holiday + BH and sick pay\nComprehensive benefits package including 7% match pension, free life assurance, employee assistance program, employee referral scheme, employee discounts including high street brands, cycle 2 work scheme and discount on Johnson Controls security products.\nExtensive product and on the job/cross training opportunities with outstanding resources available\nEncouraging and collaborative ethos\nCareer development through various career ladders\nDedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy\nAccess to business resource groups and training on things we value\nKey Responsibilities\nService, maintain and certify fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems including portable extinguishers, water mist, kitchen suppression, gaseous suppression (FM200, Novec, Inergen and CO₂), sprinkler, foam, deluge, marine, offshore fire & gas systems, and fire pump packages.\nRefurbish, test and prepare equipment for customer projects.\nSupport the installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire protection systems.\nDiagnose faults and complete repairs on fire safety equipment.\nProduce service reports, maintenance records and certification documentation.\nSupport customer sites across the UK, including marine, offshore and international projects when required.\nMaintain the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.\nEssential Criteria\nExperience within fire protection, fire suppression systems, mechanical maintenance, or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.\nAbility to produce accurate service reports, maintenance records, and certification documentation.\nFull UK Driving Licence.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team.\nWillingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally, including offshore environments when required.\nDesirable Criteria\nPrevious experience within the fire protection industry.\nExperience servicing fixed fire suppression systems, including water mist, foam, deluge, and gaseous suppression systems.\nRelevant industry qualifications (e.g. BAFE, Ansul R102, Draeger BA, or Scott Safety BA).\nMechanical apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.\nExperience with pipework assembly, threaded pipe systems, and compression fittings.\nOffshore, marine, or oil & gas industry experience.\nCommissioning experience and knowledge of fire industry standards.\nOffshore certifications (e.g. BOSIET, MIST, Offshore Medical).\nForklift, MEWP, or Working at Height certification.\nDue to the nature of this position, we are only able to consider applicants who currently have the unrestricted legal right to live and work in the UK.
