Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.\nWhat you will do\nReceive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.\nResponsible for contacting customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.\nDiagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.\nFollow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment.\nService, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers’ Fire & Life Safety systems including SimplexGrinnell.\nRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.\nExhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.\nComplete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as smart phones and laptop computers.\nObtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment.\nParticipate in a scheduled On-call rotation. Help to train or mentor others on the service team.\nProvide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nHow you will do it\nThis skilled position involves troubling shooting and repairing installed systems. Including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing.\nOrganize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.\nCandidate must possess excellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.\nPosition involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.\nExperience CCTV and IT and IP networks a plus.\nComplete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.\nOn call and after hours work required on occasion at customer need.\nProvide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.\nProvide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.\nWhat we look for\nRequired\n3 plus years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems\nMust be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.\nA good working knowledge of computers is necessary.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions. \nCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc\nAbility to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.\nOvernight travel may be required. \nDemonstrate a high level of customer service. \nMaintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs. \nAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. \nStrong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. \nPossess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. \nRetain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes. \nPreferred\nTechnical training preferred\nNICET II preferred\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24.23-33.17 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
