Role\nWe're looking for an experienced Fire Systems Technician to join our fire protection team, responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites.\nYou'll work with a range of fire alarm systems, including Gent, Advanced, Kentec and other leading manufacturers, ensuring training.\nClear progression and long-term career development opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, commission, service and maintain fire alarm systems in line with BS 5839.\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding and repairs.\nProgramme and configure fire alarm control panels and networked systems.\nComplete upgrades, modifications and remedial works.\nService, maintain and test gaseous and water mist fire suppression systems.\nAttend reactive call-outs and support commissioning/decommissioning activities.\nConduct site surveys, technical assessments and provide customer support.\nEnsure all work is completed in line with quality, health & safety and environmental standards.\nAbout You\nEssential:\nProven experience within the fire protection industry.\nStrong knowledge of fire alarm systems, servicing and fault finding.\nGood understanding of BS 5839 and relevant industry standards.\nAbility to read technical drawings and system documentation.\nExcellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.\nFull UK driving licence.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nDesirable:\nExperience with Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Notifier, Ziton, C-Tec, EMS and wireless fire systems.\nKnowledge of gas suppression systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, Inergen, CO₂), water mist systems, aspirating detection and cause & effect programming.\nExperience with emergency lighting systems.\nFIA, BAFE, ECS or manufacturer certifications.\nCommissioning
